04-21-2008, 8:01 AM Anonymous Relocating nonprofit to another state and changing service mission Our small nonprofit is intending to relocate to another state and to alter its mission. Does IRS have a proceedure for effecting this change which allows us to retain our 501-c-3 status? Must we reorganize in the new location , terminate the existing entity and donate our funds to the new entity?
