| IRS Experience: |
| My daughter was days away from closing on a condo in Ca., her dream come true. Everything was approved until lender and HUD required tax statements for 2008 and found they were not filed. Seems like accountant she goes to did not do whatever he should have to e=file and did not notice until now. She has copy of statement he goofed up on, paid taxes due all timely. When error was discovered he rushed down with statement. HOWEVER IRS refuses to process statement quickly but say it must wait its turn- 6 to 8 weeks. She will lose this sale since condo goes into foreclosure in 10 days. She has begged IRS to process so she will not lose this sale. She has spent thousands, countless hours regarding a short sale over a period of 6 months, missed time and money from her job and will have no place to go since she has given notice. None of this her fault but the fault of her accountant. IRS is not only heartless but almost sadistic. She has never never been late with statements and I repeat she was not this time either. She has dated signed statement and copies of check IRS cashed timely. Foreclosure signs are on the condo she was days away from closing on. |
